Central Government will create 2.83 lakh Government Jobs in 2018 and these posts, will be filled on the Fast track basis, as Government had already abolished the Interviews for Jr. Level posts in Central Government Departments and Ministries.

This is for the First time, that so many Government Jobs will be announced in a year. and there will be Jobs for Everyone, irrespective of their Qualification. Equal opportunity will be given to Matriculates, 10+2's, Graduates, Postgraduates and Doctorates.

Department wise break up of 2.83 Lakh Government Jobs



You, know Government is going to announce the Notification for 2.83 lakh Jobs in 2018, but you must be equally eager to know, which departments, will participate in this Bumper recruitment and how many vacancies will be there for each of these departments and Ministries

As per the information provided, Currently central government has a work force of 32.84 lakh in 2017, and with the addition of 2.83 lakh new Government Jobs, total head count in 2018 is expected to be 35.67 lakh



SSC Scientific Assistant Recruitment 2017 : Apply from 15th July


Here is the department wise break up of these vacancies

1)  Home Ministry : 6076 New Jobs will announced in the Department of Home Affairs, there by taking the total strength of the Home Ministry to 24,778

Recruitment for some posts in Home Ministry  in done by SSC and for some posts, Department conducts the recruitment on its own. To apply for Jobs in Home Ministry through SSC, you have apply for appear in SSC CGL 2017 Exam, for which the Notification is expected on 11th March, 2017.

Another most popular Recruitment conducted by Ministry of Home Affairs in Assistant Central Intelligence Officer in Intelligence Bureau Department. To apply for these Jobs, you have keep checking the Intelligence Bureau Recruitment 2017.

2) Police Department : In 2018, an expected Number of 1.06 lakh vacancies will be announced in the Central Police Departments. This will include, Jobs in Delhi Police, CRPF, CISF, BSF etc.

As, of now, the total central of Central Police department is 1007689 and with the addition of 1.06 lakh new personnel, the total strength of Police department will become 11,13,689.

3) External Affairs : Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), will create an additional 2109 Jobs in 2018, there by taking the actual strength to 11403 person. To apply for various posts in Ministry of External Affairs, you should apply for Upcoming SSC CGL Exam

SSC does the recruitment of Assistants for Ministry of Home Affairs through CGL Exam.

4) Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship: This newly created ministry, will hire 2027 persons in 2018. As, of now, Ministry had strength of only 53 person. This newly created ministry, will emphasise more on Employability and Skill Development, rather than Employment ie. It will train unemployed people, so that they can even apply for Jobs in private sector and even start their own business.

5) Ministry of Civil Aviation : In 2018, an expected no. of 1045 new posts, will be created there by taking the total staff strength to 2186 persons.

6) Department of posts : In 2018, there will be bumper hiring in the Department of posts. As per the information, 20,442 new jobs, will be created in the Department of posts in 2018. Some of the major posts for which the recruitment will be conducted is


  • Postal Assistants
  • Sorting Assistants
  • Multitasking Staff
  • Postman/Mailguard
Moreover, recruitment will also be done the newly introduced India Post Payments bank 

Hiring for Postal / Sorting Assistants in Department of Posts in conducted by SSc through SSC CHSL Exam. If, you wish to apply for upcoming jobs in Department of posts, then you should apply for SSC CHSL 2017 Notification.

7) Ministry of Environment : 2165 new Jobs are expected to be announced for the Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change in 2018 

This will take the Total staff strength to 5094.

8) Ministry of Minority Affairs: 91 New Jobs

9) Mines Ministry : 1351 New Jobs

10) Department of Space (ISRO, DRDO): This prestigious Department will create an additional 3068 new Jobs in 2018. Recruitment for Jobs in ISRO and DRDO are being done through GATE Exam. So, apply and appear for GATE 2018 Exam.

11) Personnel Ministry: 2367 New Jobs

12) Ministry of Water Resources: 3632 New Jobs

Today, there is another great new regarding some additional Jobs in Income Tax Department and Central Customs and Excise Department. 

12) Income Tax Department : In 2017-18 , IT Department will create 24000 New Jobs thereby raising the Department's existing strength from 46000 to 80000.

This bumper hiring in Income tax Department is due to the Demonization by Central Government, as IT department is agency which is involved in the Drive against Black money.

13) Central Customs and Excise Department : This department, will create 41000+ New Jobs in 2017-18 owing to implement the new Goods and Service Tax Regime in India. 

This Bumper Hiring will take the Department's actual strength of 51,600 to 91700.

If, you want to apply for these Jobs in IT Department and Central Excise and Customs Department, then you should apply for SSC CGL 2017 Exam, which is Common Exam for various Jobs in Central Government Departments and Ministries.

When these 2.83 Lakh Jobs will be announced ?


Knowing the Date of Notification, will help you in making the proper Preparation plan. But, it is not possible, unless or until there is a Official Notification on this.

Government has already notified that it will create 2.83 lakh Jobs in 2018 and Now it is upto the respective departments, to announce the Job Notification. 

As these Jobs are for next fiscal, so we can expect the announcement of Recruitment Notifications by various Departments and Ministries from April, 2017.
