SSC has announced its Schedule for the Next Six Month, however the much awaited SSC CGL 2018 Dates are not announced by SSC and it looks it will need some time, before the Dates will be officially released.

There is a reason for this. 

Actually, there is a  huge pendency before SSC to conduct the Exams of 2017. It includes SSC CGL 2017 Tier-2 Exam and CHSL 2017 Exam, for which the Notification will be announced on 18th of Nov, 2017.

In a good move, SSC has released the Exam Schedule of Next Six Month.So those who have applied for previous SSC Exams, can now get the Exam Dates of these posts.

Updates: On 23rd Oct, 2017 SSC had uploaded the Revised Tentative List of Post wise vacancies for CGL-2017 Exam. At this time, No. of vacancies are 8089 only. However, the Final Vacancy Figure will be above, 20000+ and this vacancy update process will keep on going till the completion of Selection Process.

If you have plans to appear in the SSC CGL 2017 Exam, then we have an awesome news for you. Recently, it was reported and announced that Central Government will hire as many as 2.2 Lakh people from March 2015. Out of these a maximum of 70,000 vacancies, will be created in Income Tax, Excise and Customs Department.

As the Recruitment for these departments is done by Staff Selection Commission through the SSC CGL Exam, so we expect that the bulk of these vacancies will be filled up in the upcoming CGL 2017 Exam. Although there is a No Official confirmation yet of the exact no. of vacancies, one thing is clear, that CGL 2017  will create an awesome no. of vacancies for Government Jobs seekers in Central Government Departments and Ministries.

Moreover, recent Demonetisation in the country will create more Jobs in Income Tax Department, as Prime Minister Mr Narender Modi had announced, that the Government will deal strongly with Tax Evaders and for that if the need arises, he will create 1 lakh Jobs in Income Tax Department itself. As these words are said in a sense of emotion, so at this time, we cannot confirm on the exact no. of vacancies for SSC CGL 2017.

For 2016 CGL Exam, earlier, there were only 4500 to 5000 vacancies, but as the time passed, the number of vacancies was increased to 12000. And For 2017 CGL Exam, we expected that No. of vacancies may cross even 20,000, thanks to Bumper Hiring in the Income Tax Department. However, there is also a possibility, that the Department, may conduct the Recruitment of Tax Assistants on its own.

(I) 240000 vacancies in Income Tax Department: As per the Budget-2017 Document, Income Tax Department is expected to increase its strength from 46000 to 80000 before March 2017.

This means, that Income Tax Department, will create 24000 Jobs in coming 1 year.

As the Recruitment for Income Tax Department (Income Tax Inspector and Tax Assistants) is conducted through SSC CGL Exam. So, there will be big Share of IT Department vacancies in the Upcoming SSC CGL 2017 Exam

(II) 51000+ Vacancies in Central Excise and Customs Departments

Customs Department is one of those departments, that will do Bumper hiring in 2017-18. As per the reports, the Department is going to recruit 50000 new people in its Departments.

This is being done for the Implementation of New Goods and Service Tax Regime in India.

SSC CGL 2017 Last Date Extended by 3 Days

Looking for SSC CGL 2017 the Last Date? SSC has extended the Last Date for submitting the SSC CGL Online Application up to 19th June (5:00 PM)

It is a good news for those, who have not yet filled the SSC CGL 2017 Online application form. SSC had decided to extend the Online Registration Dates by 3 Days. Now the Last Date for submitting the SSC CGL 2017 Online form is 19th June 2017.

Earlier the Online Registration Dates were from 16th May to 16th June 2017, but Now the Last Date to apply for SSC CGL 2017 Exam is 19th June 2017.

Why SSC CGL 2017 Last Date is Extended?

From the Last 2 Days, SSC Website is not working properly, there are server disconnections, Website Overloaded and become Non-responsive for some time, therefore candidates face difficulties in submitting their CGL application form

Current Status : SSC CGL Notification, was to be announced on 11th April, as per the information given in the SSC Calendar, 2017, however, due to some reasons, Notification was postponed and it is was finally announced on 15th May.

Many a times, the Notification and Exam dates are postponed. The recent Example is SSC CHSL 2017 Notification, that was earlier scheduled to announced on 2nd July, 2016, but delay in getting the approval for conducting Online exam led to postponement of Notification to October. This is not just the case with SSC CHSL only, In fact all the major exam, including CGL Exam , MTS Exam and several other SSC Exams.

Not only the Notification, even exam dates are not confirmed either. Earlier for CGL 2016 Notification, the exam was scheduled to be held on 8th and 22nd May, 2016, but it was postponed to August/ Sept, 2016. From this we can only say that, that only SSC Knows, when it will announce the SSC CGL Notification 2017. But you should start your preparation, with Notification to be announced in Feb, 2017 and Exam in June / July, 2017.

Some of the major changes in the SSC CGL 2017 are

1) Time Duration is Tier-1 Exam is reduced from 75 minutes to 60 minutes only (100 Questions / 200 Marks)

2) Upper Age Limit for various posts have been increased by 3 years ie upto 30 years, for some of the Departments Like (CSS, IB, Railway, MEA, AFHQ, ITI etc)

3) For the First time, CGL posts are grouped into various categories viz Group A, B, C and D

4) Some New posts have been introduced for the first time in SSC CGL 2017. These posts are Assistant Accounts Officer, Assistants in Serious Fraud Investigation Office and Some other Ministries

5) Cut off Date for Determining the Age Limit and Educational Qualification is 1st August 2017.

6) Post Preference is required to filled at the time of submitting the CGL Online form, but you will be asked to fill the preference 2nd time during Document Verification and only at this time, it will be considered as Final

Year 2017 ,didn't start on a good note for Staff Selection Commission (SSC) as there are Frequent postpones, Paper Leakages, Delay in Announcement of results, Court Cases etc. Just take the Example of SSC CGL 2017 Notification, which was scheduled to be announced on 11th March, was postponed and later announced after a gap of 2 months on 15th May, 2017. SSC CGL 2017 Aspirants, we have a big news for you. We, all know, that for the most of posts in CGL Exam, Age limit is 18 to 27 years, and there are demands by student groups to increase the upper age limit for CGL Exam and here comes the good news Government of India through a Gazette Notification had relaxed the upper age limit by 3 years for various  posts in the Upcoming SSC CGL Exam 2017. Most of the posts for which the Age limit is increased are Group B posts having Grade Pay of Rs 4200 , Rs 4600, and Rs 4800.
