When is SSC CGL Exam in 2017 ?



As, we have said above, its really hard to predict the Dates of Exam before there is any Official Notification on it, but still, we can give you the tentative schedule, so that you can start your preparation.

If, we go by the trends of the last few years, then there are following outcomes:

1) CGL Notification is always announced in the First Quarter of Every year (ie between Jan to April). Only is 2015, the Notification, was announced in the month of May. So, From this we can conclude, that Notification for SSC CGL 2017, can be announced anytime in the First Quarter, however, there is expectation, that the 2017 Notification, will be announced by end of Feb or start of March, 2017.

2) The Notification or exam dates for any CGL Exams are announced, only after SSC announced the Results of the previous years Tier-2 Exam. As, the CGL 2016 Tier-2 is scheduled in Nov-2016 and its results are expected to be announced by Jan, 2017. So, again, we can expect the Notification, to be announced by Feb-2017

3) Now, Let's talk about Exam Dates. Every year, CGL Tier-1 Exam are conducted in month of July/August and Tier-2 Exams are held in Oct / Nov. Mostly, there is a gap of  of 3-4 months between the Date of Notification and Exam date, so again, the CGL 2017 Tier-1 will be held around July 2017 and Tier-2 is Sept/Oct, 2017.

Date of CGL 2017 tier-1 Exam : July / August 2017 

Date of CGL 2017 Tier-2 Exam : Sept / Oct, 2017

Date of CGL Tier-3 Exam (Descriptive Paper) : Nov/ Dec, 2017

Declaration of Final Result : Feb, 2018


SSC CGL 2017 Exact Exam Dates 


SSC is full of surprises, many a times, its exact Dates are also postponed, but these things, will not happen from 2017, as SSC will now conduct the Online Exams For Tier-1 and Tier-2 stages. Yes, SSC Exams are now completely online. Right from the publication of Notification to Accepting applications and declaration of result, everything is completely online. 

However, as far as exact exam dates are concerned, these will be known only, after, the announcement of CGL 2017 Notification, which is expected is Feb, 2017 and Tentative dates, will be known, after the announcement of 2017 Calendar.

    1. Vinit , you just need to be graduate to appear for SSC CGL exam :) Percentage do not matter at all for majority of posts.
